[ tmw felix & nancy are making zarina worry a little bit. or maybe it's just the school. still, while she recalls what happened in the trial itself — ]
You know, Nea and I could help you with that if you'd like. Sneaking around and getting a good look is what I'm pretty good at.
I'd appreciate that. I'll admit my skills are better served by finding something mechanical to work on. But maybe if we could get some idea of the layouts of the places we go to, we could find spots that are easiest to hide in or make for better escape routes when running.
I can definitely help with that part. Got a few places where the layout's become more familiar at this point, but places like the warehouse? I can barely find a generator after three.
I... have an easy time finding the generators. They move about so there's no point mapping most of them, but we could make note of where they tend to show up and see if there's patterns.
[He's not certain if that's some strange attempt of the Entity to try and give them something for their pains, but ever since he'd arrived in that first trial, Felix has been able to sense when he's close to a generator. He can't complain too much about the strange ability; any edge is useful.]
I've been to the school once, a couple of wrecking yards and mills... once a town, I think. I couldn't find any phones or anything that seemed to work, but I suppose even if they did we wouldn't be able to call anyone.
Don't blame yourself, I didn't go out of my way to tell anyone. We're all missing people in our lives - parents, siblings, partners... Can any of our group say there's absolutely no one who might wonder what happened to us?
You must have someone you left behind you'd want to call if you could.
My mom. I worry about her half the time, really — can't tell how long it's been since we were all taken. The date and time options of my phone stopped working when I arrived, too.
Yeah, at least not by the campfire. The most stars I've seen is at the saloon followed by Haddonfield. Not that good with reading them, though.
I know I said I worry about her a lot, but I'm sure she'll be fine. I'm more worried about the rent and bills that are gonna pile up when we get back.
[ it is both an attempt at humor and a brighter subject to look on to. no need to think of the sadness they cause from their disappearance — rather, not dwell. the people back home is their goal for an escape, after all. ]
I can't say it's a strong skill of mine either, but some at least are familiar enough to we should be able to get some idea of what hemisphere we're in.
[Or if they're on Earth at all which at this point he's not entirely sure. It could just as easily be a limbo or purgatory.]
Hah, I'm certain my company will be fine without me. I'd accept never getting it back if we could just return again.
[There's little point in really going into the details as far as he's concerned; it would just be bragging about accomplishments that Felix never felt that he really earned.]
What of yourself? I've heard you referred to as a journalist?

thanks for the powers entity??
he doesn't see it, but brows raise before zarina smiles at the thought. already she needs to steal more paper. ]
Already making notes on the generator spots I remember from some maps. Never thought of that before, thank you.
As for cellphones I can confirm mine lost signal the second I arrived. Nothing goes in or out except for the ones we're using right now.

I've noticed a couple seem to always be in the same place. It might be worth knowing in case the killers know those spots too.
I suppose hoping that a phone might end up working was too much. Even if it did, who would I call? What would I say?

Who's waiting for you back home?

I have a girlfriend. We were expecting a child.
I hope she's alright.

I'm sorry for bringing them up, Felix. I didn't know.

Yeah, I am. Documentarian to be specific. Who told you before I could?

I've tried a few times to see if there's reasons to it or ways we can convince them to fight back.

You might be better off asking other killers about that. The cowboy's an asshole with a temper.
Try... hmmm, the Wraith. If you can get him to talk, that is. Or find him outside a trial for the matter.
