It's been kind of interesting, actually. Before I arrived, I was investigating a cover up back in Nevada. Turns out the very culprit is the killer with the rifle we have to deal with.
I've also been looking for more details on this Vigo person. No luck so far on that, though.
I know, right? Funny enough, I was in his cell before it took me.
[ she absolutely refuses to mention how it forced her to see the illusion of her father's dying corpse. a social link rank up is required to unlock the conversation. ]
And yeah, him. I keep seeing his name pop up when I find certain things. The map and the really good tool box? It's him.
Maybe. Either that or he's someone who's just watching us and letting us suffer. Not sure what his role would've been unless he used to be a survivor, too — but what makes him so special? Why do we keep getting his belongings?
All I found are a few pages of his journal so far. Hoping I find more.
oh THANK YOU! i was frantically looking last night LOL
Firstly, I'm not even sure. We could probably pull a book on supernatural creatures and it could be anything that's almost a god. A Genie? Demon? Devil? Could be anything at this point.
I guess that would depend on how much stock we'd put into our own understanding of things like that, right? What one person might call a demon someone else might call a god.
It's an important skill, especially with what we have to do.
True. I won't rule that out during the investigation I'll do. Personally, though? I'd call it a monster.
Oh, definitely. We're constantly kept on our toes thanks to whatever it throws at us. Stalkers with halloween masks, evil doctors, and now cowboys. On the other hand, I realize that describes part of my city already.
[ there's a pause with her texts, them taking exactly one minute and ten seconds longer than usual. ]
Some cosmetic being that's hungry all the time. It can bring people from different timelines, young or old. Doesn't care about us as individuals but just sees us as stock. I actually had a talk about this with the one wearing the Ghostface mask, but I'm taking his word with a grain of salt.
If ever we somehow go back and see each other? I'm willing to give you a nice tour around.
Give me a moment to find my notes. As for the music scene? Definitely. There's giant, sold out concerts in many places and has good broadway music. They're fun.
[ it doesn't take her as long to find her notes and send her next text: ]
"Killers put their life on the line if they're unable to feed the entity, with the Trapper as an example with how many hooks and steel are in his body."
"No idea what happens when you die outside of trials, but death is not an excuse."
Yeah? That's good to hear. Not quite like the camping I've been used to but it's becoming home in a way, isn't it?
[ Truthfully it's something he's spent a lot of time thinking about. ]
I'm ok.
It's strange, but it made me question a lot of things. They're trouble kids, yeah. But they're not on the level of some of these other guys we've faced.
Makes me wonder how many killers started out that way.
I actually don't mind the Red Forest all that much. Sans the threat of hatchets in your back, of course.
[ The "woodsy" atmosphere is kind of nice. ]
No, but it was a small town so everyone had some idea of everyone else's business. I heard one of them threw pretty frequent parties when they weren't involved in vandalism, bullying--petty crimes, mostly. The kind of stuff that bored, wayward teenagers get up to. Not the kind of people I figured would have a killer instinct.
They came in the video store I worked in every now and then. I even did a bit of street art for them, but I never really got to know them well. I moved pretty soon after.
That's unfortunately what ruins the place for me exactly. Maybe I'll appreciate it more if we find ourselves there without the Huntress or the Plague somehow.
[ already zarina's thinking about the four individual legion members they've bumped into. two look extremely similar beyond the mask and attitude — matching clothes. are they a couple? twins? while the other two are distinctly different. a skull mask and pink hair. ]
Maybe something happened after you moved. Still, it must be strange — does anything happen when you meet them in a trial?
It's too bad. That Temple looks like it'd be interesting to explore when we're not risking our lives.
It's possible, I didn't keep up with the local news much after that and nothing really happened there that would hit national.
It depends? Frank's their leader and he was the one I spoke with the most back in Ormond. They've let me out a couple of times. If it wasn't for the whole Lodge showing up, I might not have recognized them as quickly as I did, but I know I look a little different from the last time we met before this place. But I don't get the impression they want to be here.
That's Susie. She's the one I'm the most surprised to find here, to be honest. She came off pretty shy from what I saw of her around.

Bill. Third one should go to Bill.

[ But who doesn't? ]
Really? That can't be a coincidence.
Vigo...the hatch guy?

So there might really be someone looking out for us? That almost sounds too good to be true.
p.s. bc i completely forgot to mention but ur pb choice 👌👌

[ Not that he really wants to entertain those thoughts. ]
You've been looking for this while we're doing gens?
no subject
[ also hold up. ]
No, just when we scavenge for items around the fog.
Are you trying to tell me I don't do enough gens?
no subject
Of course not. I was about to compliment your multitasking.

Secondly, I'm a great multitasker, thank you.

...Aren't you from NY?
no subject
To be clear, I love NY. I've just seen a lot of things that happened behind the curtain.

I'll take your word for it. Only heard stories, but always wanted tov visit.

[ Genuinely curious. That guy does, at least, seem...interesting. ]
Thanks, I'd like that. The music scene is supposed to be pretty intense, isn't it?

...That's kind of what I was thinking but was hoping not to hear. We're really all just playing the same game, aren't we?
The Legion? I knew them before this place. Back in high school.

The one with pink hair seems nicer than the rest.
