I don't know about that. Sometimes opportunity shows itself and you'd just have to take it despite it going off road, you know? On the other hand, people love discovering new experiences.

And it usually ends up with them finding out that new, exciting experience means absolutely nothing or ends up being as grating and unfulfilling as everything else. But maybe you have a point. Hope springs eternal, after all.

I wouldn't expect anything less. Especially from you. And fortunately, you'll never have to imagine me without it, even on the off chance it gets stuck between someone's ribs.

It won't be hard to find you. Your name is very distinctive, after all, especially in your line of work.

Or did you mean here? Because you're not hard to find here, either. Just difficult to get to as long as you stay in your little bubble of safety.

That almost sounds like a challenge.

Yes. I'm sure it's not news to you that we're all barred from setting foot near it, or else some of my coworkers would be charging in there and slaughtering you all on the regular. But it doesn't extend infinitely.

That makes sense, though I've been out into the fog before. Haven't seen you or any of your colleagues once. I'm not sure it's really easy for you to find me because of that.

Really? Then you've been incredibly lucky. Everyone else seems to have at least one or two run-ins, if not more. Since I don't have to stay in any one place, I get to go wherever I want, and that means whenever any of you get lost, I could easily be right there, watching you.

There's a first time for everything.

But I understand if you're afraid to risk it. After all, outside a trial, the rules are a little more ... flexible.

I can only assume with what you mean by flexible, but go ahead and elaborate.

I'd love to, but it's really something that's better demonstrated, or at least explained face to face. Words on a screen just don't have the same effect.

As much as I would love a personal one-on-one interview with a killer I'm going to have to decline. I've seen my fair share of masked people with knives at this point. A bit oversaturated, don't you think?

I was using mine well before most of the rest of them. I'd say they copied me, except that almost everyone is at minimum from ten years before I was out and about.

But let me know if you ever change your mind. I'm happy to explain the lack of rules out here, as long as it's in person. Maybe if we hit it off you can get a real interview with me.

And I have a requirement should we ever meet up voluntarily. Otherwise it'll have to be a surprise from either of us.

That's one hell of an expectation for someone I've killed before. You might 'give it back' by trying to put it in my chest, and where would I be then?
